Simple right? Well for a stay at home mom trying to pinch pennies it\'s not so simple I\'m so afraid I\'m going to really screw something up, but he so desperatelt wants it repaired I\'m willing to give it a try...I was just wondering if anyone here has had to do this before and would be willing to give me a walkthrough?.. Replies: By: HUSS (IP: 24.115.80.*) Written on: 26-11-2009 09:37 Hello, I have fixed 3 X-BOX\'s and there are plenty of free video walk thru\'s on the internet. Just do a search and you will find one. You will need to buy some screws and washers and the most important thing to do is get all of the old thermal glue that is used on the X-Box off on both the heat sinks and the cpu & gpu. The glue they used is a big part of the problem. Also make sure you screw the heat sinks back on tight against the cpu & gpu. If you do this the problems of the red ring will go away.
