Subject: Matching specs on replacement parts

I am trying to find a replacement cooling fan for a touch screen video game, and I can\'t seem to find an exact match. I have a 12V DC, .17A fan with a 3 plug connector, but only uses the red and black voltage and ground wire. A fan I located is 12V DC, .22A with a 3 plug connector but has red, black and blue wires. Is it safe to use this?
